Model of the Tower of the Stone Bell House

The Stone Bell House, originally from the 2nd half of the 13th century, was remarkably reconstructed in the early 14th century when a tower was built.

In the 13th century, there was no stone development on the tower’s site. The tower itself is a new structure. The house behind it could exist without it which would not work vise versa. It may also be surmised that it was not (and was not supposed to be) used for living.

Michael Rykl has updated the research and interpretation of findings of the last 30 years.
